Hi, I am Katherine Luo
I am a graphic designer primarily focused on brand identity, with experience across broader areas of graphic design, driven by a strong interest in solving problems through visual communication.
My work focuses on developing thoughtful and impactful design solutions that connect strategy with storytelling. I combine creative thinking with a structured approach, using design to translate ideas into visual narratives that are clear, engaging, and grounded in real-world contexts.
I am currently completing my undergraduate studies at the Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, within the Mason Gross School of the Arts, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Alongside my design training, I have studied marketing strategy through faculty mentorship, with a focus on market research, demographic analysis, and design research methodologies. This experience informs my approach to branding, grounding creative decisions in research and strategic thinking rather than intuition alone.
In addition to design, I also pursue photography, with a focus on portrait and street photography. This practice expands my visual perspective, allowing me to explore different visual languages in advertising and to draw inspiration from everyday environments.
