ZOI

ZOI is a conceptual lifestyle brand created around the idea of simplifying everyday living through thoughtful design. Rather than focusing on a single product category, the project explores how one cohesive brand system can support multiple aspects of daily life including apparel, home essentials, personal care, and functional work tools. The identity emphasizes reliability, durability, and long-term usability, creating a visual language that feels consistent and adaptable across diverse contexts.

Developed independently from initial research through final execution, the project showcases the ability to integrate research-driven insights, brand positioning, strategic thinking, and visual design into a unified identity system. It reflects a holistic branding process, demonstrating how a clear brand logic and consistent design strategy can translate into meaningful experiences across products, packaging, digital interfaces, and environmental applications.

Research Process

  1. Where can people buy everything?

  2. What are the things people lack?

  3. How do products become everyday essentials?

These questions established the conceptual framework for the research and guided the development of the brand strategy.

A positioning map was created to analyze the competitive landscape and identify an opportunity centered on quality, reliability, and products that seamlessly integrate into everyday life. Persona profiles representing different lifestyles and purchasing behaviors further revealed shared expectations for products that are functional, dependable, and built for long-term use. Together, these insights shaped the brand logic and informed every design decision, from the visual identity system to product applications.

The positioning map analyzes brands including MUJI, Costco, Walmart, Target, Apple, and UNIQLO to identify opportunities for ZOI's strategic market positioning through market research and survey findings.

The personas represent two distinct consumer groups identified through research, helping define user needs and guide strategic decisions for ZOI's brand positioning and product direction.
